An Islamic Finance country report on the Republic of Djibouti is set to be launched tomorrow in Marrakech, Morocco, on the sidelines of the 44th Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.

The report is produced by the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) of the IsDB Group, as part of the Islamic Finance Country Report (IFCR) series first initiated in 2013 through strategic partnerships.

IFRCs are aimed to provide analysis on the Islamic financial outlook of countries, including regulatory environment and market analysis, for the benefit of prospective investors and other stakeholders.

IsDB President, Dr. Bandar Hajjar, and Governor of Djibouti Central Bank, Mr. Ahmed Osman, representing the Minister of Finance of Djibouti, will perform the launching of the report, during the 14th IsDB Global Forum on Islamic Finance.

Acting Director General of IRTI, Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem, said, “This report provides insights into the remarkable achievements recorded by Djibouti in the Islamic Finance sector, along with a country analysis at both conventional and Islamic Finance levels.”

This is the 10th report to be published under the IFCR series. The previous issues, which were published as joint projects with strategic partners, covered Morocco, Oman, Tunisia, Turkey, Sudan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
