Farrukh holds an MBA in Strategic Management. He brings exceptionally rich experience across multiple segments of the Islamic finance industry and has played a leading role in its development and global expansion. Over the years, he has led and managed high-profile, ground-breaking projects at both policy and institutional advisory levels—working closely with governments, central banks, regulatory authorities, and institutional clients across diverse, multi-cultural and multi-lingual environments. He also serves as the Chairman of the AAOIFI Governance & Ethics Board. He is multilingual, with excellent command of English, French, and Urdu.

Dr. Shaher Abbas

Dr. Shaher Abbas brings extensive, hands-on experience across multiple disciplines within the Islamic finance industry. He holds a PhD in Islamic Financial Engineering from Durham University, along with a master’s degree in Islamic Banking and Finance. He has played key roles in numerous pioneering Islamic finance and fintech projects, spanning Europe, Central America, and the GCC region, contributing to both innovative product development and market expansion initiatives. He is a Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) from AAOIFI and a CISI accredited trainer for the Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ). In addition to his technical expertise, he is actively involved in advancing Islamic finance through innovative digital solutions. He also serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IFIN Services, an innovative digital instant financing solution. He is a native Arabic speaker and is fluent in English.

Dr Moutaz Abojeib

Dr. Moutaz Abojeib is a senior international expert in Islamic finance, with nearly 20 years of experience across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. His expertise spans technical and Shariah-applied research and advisory for regulators, central banks, and financial institutions on Shariah governance, policy development, financial sector frameworks, and product structuring. He has led numerous consultancy assignments for central banks and multilateral organizations, focusing on ecosystem development, regulatory frameworks, and the establishment of Islamic finance operations. His work also includes selected engagements related to digital transformation and emerging areas such as sustainable finance. Dr. Moutaz contributes to industry thought leadership through published research, industry reports, and contributions to articles and books on Islamic finance and Islamic economics. He is also a frequent speaker at leading international forums and has contributed to innovation-focused projects addressing Shariah and technical challenges. He holds a PhD in Islamic Finance from INCEIF University and a Joint Master’s in Banking and Finance from Montesquieu Bordeaux IV University, and is an AAOIFI Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA).

Manar Abbas

Director, IFAAS
Manar Abbas is a Director at IFAAS, specializing in Islamic finance product development and implementation. She has extensive experience in designing and structuring Shariah-compliant financial products, supporting financial institutions across Europe, Asia, and the GCC. She has played a central role in Islamic window setups and full bank conversions, with a strong focus on translating Shariah concepts into practical, market-ready solutions. Her expertise includes the development of product frameworks, preparation of detailed product documentation, and the design of operational policies and procedures aligned with Shariah requirements. She also advises on Islamic finance operations and associated risk considerations, including Shariah compliance and product-related risks, ensuring effective alignment between product structures, systems, and processes.In addition, Manar contributes to professional training programmes, supporting industry capacity building. She is an AAOIFI Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) and an Accredited Trainer by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI – UK) for the Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ).

Boubkeur Ajdir

Graduated at the Ecole Nationale de Commerce (Paris BESSIERES), Boubkeur has also received specialised training in Islamic theology with focus on Islamic financial law. Currently, he is spearheading IFAAS projects in a number of French-speaking countries across North and West Africa including setting up Shariah-Compliant investment funds, Sukuk issuance and conducting feasibility studies on the launch of new Islamic financial operations. He actively contributed towards the development of the French tax reforms pertaining to Islamic Finance.

Dr. Mohamed Anouar Gadhoum

Dr. Mohamed Anouar Gadhoum Dr. Mohamed Anouar Gadhoum is a Shariah scholar and Principal Consultant at IFAAS, with over 15 years of experience in Islamic finance across multiple jurisdictions. He specializes in Shariah governance and advisory, supporting financial institutions and market participants in ensuring alignment with Shariah standards. He serves as Chairman and member of several Shariah Boards and supervisory committees for international financial institutions, insurers, and fintech firms, providing oversight on complex structures and governance frameworks. Dr. Gadhoum is also the Co-Founder and CEO of PayDay Takaful, a takaful-tech company focused on delivering inclusive, Shariah-compliant protection solutions through innovative models. His work increasingly focuses on climate and sustainable finance, exploring the role of Islamic finance instruments—such as sukuk, waqf-based models, and blended finance—in supporting climate resilience and impact-driven initiatives. He holds a PhD in Islamic Banking and Finance from INCEIF and is an AAOIFI Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA).
